It is Our Mission at St. Luke's Episcopal Church to Serve God by serving our Community. . . .

Eva Daunhauer, one of St. Luke's senior members, celebrates her 90th birthday with friends and relatives	We reach out to others by visiting Nursing Homes and Hospitals and assisting the needy in those places to the best of our abilities.	John Mitchell, St. Luke's organist, provides musical background at Eva's party. He assists Eva in many ways each week as she recovers from a broken foot.
(Picture unavailable) Catherine Smiley, one of St. Luke's Youth, went to Brazil on a church sponsored trip to spend weeks assisting those in need.	We send our youth to underdeveloped countries to experience, and perhaps even help relieve poverty in those places.
	We send out postcards to people in Perry, Spencer, and Dubois counties inviting them to share with us the peace and feeling of Community we have found at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
	We nurture . . . not just people, but all of God's Creatures. . . . (R & L) Just two of the many abandoned animals rescued and cared for by members of the congregation.

Each day, for each member of St. Luke's Congregation, begins a new mission as each waits to be called upon to give another a helping hand, a kind word, or just to lend an ear.

Here, in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, we have found Peace, a feeling of Belonging, Spiritual Devotion, and Strength.
